Unorthodox Student Ministries is an enthusiastic group of young people (7th-12th grades) who want to experience God more and have fun doing it. If you don't believe that God has a fun side, just look at a platypus.
There's one question you may be asking yourself: Why "Unorthodox?" Unorthodox [uhn-awr-thuh-doks], adjective independent in behavior or thought; breaking with convention or tradition So it basically means "weird," "different," or "not the same as everyone else." Although He isn't often presented as "breaking with tradition," Jesus was a radical in the eyes of the religious establishment. He reached out to "sinners" and other outcasts. |
We are trying to keep up with Jesus' example of using non-traditional methods to reach ALL young people, whether they're "church people" or not.
We welcome:
1) Any and all teenagers, whether you're "traditional," "unorthodox," or just plain "weird."
2) Questions. If we don't know the answer, we will help you search until we find it together.
We would love to have you visit, and we hope that you will join us in Unorthodox Student Ministries and for Sunday morning service in the Sanctuary.
God bless you, and you bless God
